What are radio extraction hooks for?

Many factory head units are held by sprung clips released by pushing U-shaped keys into slots on the fascia. Without the keys the unit will not come out, and levering breaks the surround.

What does a connector release tool do?

It releases the locking tang on a pin inside a multiplug so the wire can be removed without cutting it. It is the difference between repairing a loom and splicing it.
