Nexellent hand-lever extraction syringe review

A lever-operated syringe in reinforced EPDM that both draws and dispenses — the cheapest way to remove a small quantity of fluid.

The last word A syringe, not a pump. Excellent for what it is, and not an oil change.

What lands on the bench

A hand-lever extraction syringe in reinforced EPDM, with a push-fit hose, that draws and dispenses.

The job it actually does

Small volumes in awkward places: a brake or clutch reservoir, a gearbox filler that is above the level of anything you can pour from, a power steering reservoir. Both directions matter for exactly that reason.

Why not an oil change

Volume. An engine holds several liters; this holds a fraction of a liter per stroke and has no tank. For an oil change, the tanked extractors elsewhere in this hub are the tools.

The material note

EPDM copes with brake fluid, which is more than can be said for many cheap plastics. If the syringe is going near brake fluid, that is the specification to check.

What it does, and what it misses

Strengths

  • Both directions, so it fills a gearbox as well as emptying a reservoir
  • EPDM is the right material for brake fluid and oil alike
  • Small enough to keep in a drawer rather than a shelf

Compromises

  • No capacity published — this is a syringe, not a tank
  • Currently listed on fewer marketplaces than the rest of this hub
  • Not an engine oil change tool: the volume is far too small

The questions that reach us

Can I change engine oil with a syringe?

No. Engine oil volumes run to several liters and a syringe holds a fraction of that. This is a tool for small quantities and for filling awkward reservoirs.

Why does EPDM matter?

Because brake fluid attacks many plastics and rubbers. A syringe made of the wrong material swells or fails, and EPDM is one of the materials that copes.

Our score

7.2/ 10

A syringe, not a pump. Excellent for what it is, and not an oil change.
