Service resets. Six of the common ones, which is what turns a diagnostic tool into a maintenance tool: oil-service counters, and the resets that follow ordinary jobs. System coverage beyond the engine, which is where a large share of warning lights actually originate.
Voltage monitoring in real time, tracked over use. It will not replace a proper conductance tester, and it will tell you whether the charging system is doing anything at all — which is often the question.
The terms of the app: whether every function stays free, and for how long. On any app-driven tool that is the figure that decides ownership cost, and its absence from a listing is worth noting rather than assuming.

Physically a dongle; functionally the maker sells it as a full-vehicle scan tool with six reset services. We list it with the scanners because that is what its published capability describes, and because it does far more than a plain adapter.
The tool reads the vehicle identification number from the car and selects the right vehicle profile automatically, instead of asking you to pick make, model and year. It removes the most common source of a failed connection.
