KS Tools

Geometry that stops fasteners rounding

What they actually do

Professional hand and pneumatic tools sold through trade channels.

The specification that matters

Socket geometry. Their sets are six-point with a named FlankTraction profile, which moves contact away from the corners of a fastener. On a bolt that has been on a car for ten winters, the corners are the part that gives way first.

What else the catalog does

Publishes the small things: matt satin finish rather than mirror chrome, chrome-vanadium named, a catalog number for every piece. None of it is exciting and all of it is checkable.

Where they sit

At the top of this site on price, and the only brand here whose socket sets are described by their geometry rather than their piece count.
