The last word A roadside jack at a roadside price. Put a board under it and never go underneath.
What lands on the bench
A compact 2 t hydraulic bottle jack in steel, with an adjustable screw extension.
Where a bottle jack belongs
In a boot, or under a trailer. It lifts higher than a trolley jack for its size and needs more clearance to fit — which makes it the wrong tool for a low car and the right one for a van, a trailer or a caravan.
The figure that is missing
Closed height. Every bottle jack lives or dies on whether it fits under the lifting point, and this listing does not publish it. Measure before ordering.
The base
Narrow, like all of them. On tarmac in summer or on anything softer than concrete, a board underneath is not optional — and it is still not a reason to be under the car.

What it does, and what it misses
Strengths
Small and light enough to live in a boot as a roadside jack
A screw extension, which adds height without hydraulic travel
The lowest price at which a hydraulic jack is worth owning
Compromises
No dimensions published — closed height is what decides whether it fits under your car
Narrow base, which is the standing weakness of every bottle jack
2 t is fine for a car and light for the trailers it names

The questions that reach us
Bottle jack or scissor jack in the boot?
A bottle jack lifts faster and with far less effort, and is more stable than a scissor jack of the same rating. It needs more height under the car to fit, which is the trade.
Can I use it on soft ground?
Only with a board under it. A narrow base concentrates the whole load, and on grass, gravel or hot asphalt it sinks. That is the defining limitation of the type.
